1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Bilingüitos (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Bilingüitos
- You must be at least 13 years old to create your own account.
- If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you must have your parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
- Children under 13 may use the Service only through a profile created by their parent or legal guardian.
- To create a family account you must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of the children you add.
3. Accounts and security
Give us accurate information, keep your password private and tell us if you think your account was used without your permission. You are responsible for activity in your account. Teachers and staff accounts are created by invitation and are subject to Bilingüitos’ internal policies.
4. Family accounts and children
- Parents create, manage and can delete their children’s profiles at any time from the family dashboard.
- When adding a child, the parent gives the consent described in our Privacy Policy.
- Parents set a 4-digit PIN that keeps children out of the parent area. Keep it private.
- Parents are responsible for supervising their children’s use of the Service, including live classes.
5. Live classes
Live classes are held on third-party video platforms (such as Zoom or Google Meet), whose terms also apply. Classes may be rescheduled or cancelled; we will notify the people who signed up. In class, be respectful, keep the class link private, and do not record other participants without permission. We may remove anyone who disrupts a class.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or violate anyone’s rights;
- harass, bully or share inappropriate content with other users or teachers;
- try to access other people’s accounts, our systems or data you are not allowed to see;
- copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our lessons or audio;
- interfere with the Service or use automated means to access it.
7. Our content
The lessons, audio, characters (including Nathan and Cinthia), logo and app are owned by Bilingüitos or its licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use them to learn. You may not use them commercially without our written permission.
8. Price and changes to the Service
The Service is currently offered free of charge. If we introduce paid features, we will explain the price and terms before you buy anything; nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement. We may add, change or remove features and lessons over time.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to make it accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that you will reach a particular level of Spanish.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bilingüitos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile, and parents can delete their children’s profiles from the family dashboard. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, with notice when appropriate.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the state where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will update the version and date above and let you know in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
